The I.II.I Consortium
The I.II.I Consortium is a network of Architects, Engineers, Technology Experts, Authors and Subject Matter Experts dedicated to A|E|C excellence and committed to success through technology, BIM and IPD.
We’re the nation’s leading provider of high-powered A|E|C Technology Implementation Services that include Microstation™, GEOPAK™, AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Trimble Terramodel, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. We serve both public and private companies, as well as Federal, State, and Local agencies with real-world solutions for leveraging technology in innovative, financially responsible ways.
Membership Requirements
The requirements for joining I.II.I are strict and limited to Engineers, Architects, and Technical Experts with a minimum of 10 years professional experience implementing technology in the A|E|C space.

The following members of the I.II.I Consortium have 20 years or more experience implementing IPD and BIM via Bentley GEOPAK, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Microstation, and related technology. Each has more than 10 years experience teaching firms worldwide:

Scott McEachron
Co-author of “Mastering AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010,“ Scott is a member of the Project Management Institute and Subject Matter Expert for numerous firms on Engineering News-Record’s list of Top 100 Design Firms. He has been an instructor at Autodesk University for 7 years, is an Authorized Autodesk Instructor, an Autodesk Implementation Certified Expert and has over 20 years experience integrating Autodesk land development technologies in innovative ways.
For over 10 years, Scott has provided professional technical consulting services to Autodesk and Autodesk Resellers including Avatech Solutions, IMAGINiT, Engineered Efficiency, Alignex, CAD Technology Center, Seiler Instrument, Total CAD Systems, DC CADD, COINS, Innovative Management Solutions, and others. His methods are known for being innovative, comprehensive, and practical. Born and raised in Iowa, Scott currently practices near Fort Worth, TX.

Dan Calistrat, P.E.
Dan Calistrat is a licensed professional engineer in 6 states and has been actively practicing for the past 18 years. After engineering for the land development community, Dan joined GEOPAK where he was instrumental in the development, certification, and training of Bentley civil products. After nearly a decade at GEOPAK, Dan left to implement Bentley software on some of the largest construction projects in the United States.
Dan founded DTM Solutions where he consults with all size firms to make their transition and integration to civil engineering software as seamless as possible. His vision for the firm is based on providing billable solutions to clients in need of civil engineering software training.
Dan holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Dan can be contacted by phone or email at his company DTM Solutions.

Doug Bowers, AIA LEED AP
Doug Bowers combines 30 years of architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) experience with 20 years experience in managing and consulting in the use of various design software packages.
Doug recently worked on projects for a multi-office multi-disciplinary firm using Revit and AutoCAD Architecture. He served in roles of Project Manager, Project Architect, and Project BIM Manager. Doug was also a member of the BIM Implementation Team, the CADD Committee, and Project BIM Manager for a multi-company $130 million Revit-based project. Doug’s prior experience with Revit was instrumental in helping the organization adapt to utilizing Revit and Building Information Modeling. Doug performed Revit new user training for employees, as well as weekly Revit lunch ‘n learns for employee ongoing training.
Doug’s experience also includes working as a Senior Consultant for a nationwide Autodesk Value-Added-Reseller. In this role, Doug assisted client companies with implementation of Revit and AutoCAD Architecture. He provided custom training for both users and CAD Managers, in addition to standardized training sessions for various levels of difficulty. Client software version upgrade customizations and training were also an important part of his position. Doug routinely spoke to companies about utilizing BIM software and the impact it would have on their organization.
Doug spent over 7 years managing design software for a 16-office nationwide architectural firm. As the Director of CADD Technologies, Doug was responsible for management of regional office CADD Managers, in addition to all customization and implementation of the design software. He developed standard training for all new CADD users and conducted customized training sessions throughout the offices.
Doug’s 30 years of experience in the AEC industry includes the project types of retail, education, offices, justice/detention, churches, medical, warehouses, and manufacturing. His project roles during that time include Project Manager, Project Architect, and Design-Build Manager. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in combining architecture and design software technology to increase the organization’s productivity.

Jeanne Aarhus
Jeanne, author of Microstation V8 for AutoCAD Users is known for keeping her training sessions fast-moving and fun while still providing a thorough understanding of the topic. She has been working with various CAD systems and applications since the early 1980’s, when she began using Intergraph’s VAX-based IGDS system. She has gained experience in many CAD related fields that have included production drawing, coordination, end-user support, programming, and training for PC and UNIX based CAD applications.
Her specialty is in providing users with the necessary tools to increase productivity and get the job done as efficiently as possible. She focuses on maximizing the user’s time and productivity using these constantly changing tools. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and has 25+ years of experience using MicroStation and AutoCAD in the Mapping and AEC environments. She has been certified in all levels of MicroStation and AutoCAD which enables her to assist users moving from one CAD environment to another easily and proficiently.
Jeanne started her own consulting business ‘Aarhus Associates’ in 2004 and has been in high demand ever since. She offers several core training classes in both AutoCAD and MicroStation and regularly customizes training for her clients needs. She authored the book MicroStation for AutoCAD Users in 2005 with numerous users feedback exclaiming that this book broke the barrier between the two products and credited her clear and straight forward approach.
Aarhus Associates has also been involved in all aspects of CAD standards management. We have assisted clients in the development, implementation and documentation of CAD standards for both Autodesk and Bentley products. We specialize in the integration of CAD Standards for both of these competing CAD products in the client’s production environment. Our production and consulting experience allows us to successfully guide our clients through this challenging process. We have led and successfully assisted clients with CAD standards development, implementation, and training for many small and large organizations in the private sector and state/federal governments.
Jeanne has conducted seminars and workshops on CAD productivity for managers and users in both corporate and college settings and has provided training workshops and been actively involved in International, National and Local CAD Users Groups. Jeanne is known around the world for her “real-world” approach to learning.

Brian Van Pelt
Brian has more than 15 years experience in the civil engineering field. He is a technology specialist with expertise in Trimble Terramodel, MicroStation, GEOPAK, and AutoCAD. At McAninch Corporation, Brian managed the 3D data modeling – highway sector. He has created and maintained complex 3D highway models for State Transportation Agencies in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, and North Carolina.
Brian modeled the largest project in Missouri DOT history with excavation quantities of nearly 7 million cubic yards of material. The project included 7 miles of 4-lane divided highway, 2 full interchanges and 4 bridges.
Brian specializes in 3D modeling for GPS Machine Control by converting 2D electronic data into a true 3D model for any type or size of project. Brian provides services in 3D modeling, Electronic File Conversion, and Trimble Terramodel Training. His knowledge of design and standards specifications used in the transportation industry is unparalleled.
